Breakdown Šupa is a Zagreb based multidisciplinary studio operating at the intersection of textile, costume and contemporary art.
How we work
Rooted in processes of dyeing, distressing, aging, printing, and upcycling, the studio approaches material as a narrative tool, developing costumes, masks, and character surfaces for film, theater, and beyond. Alongside production, Breakdown Šupa engages in workshops and open formats, sharing process, experimentation, and knowledge with both children and adults.

Contact UsGabrijela has worked on major international productions for HBO, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Sony, across locations ranging from Finland to South Africa. That level of exposure means she understands the pace, precision, and pressure of professional sets — and delivers accordingly, whether the brief is straightforward or highly technical.
Her skills were shaped by mentors who have won the industry's highest recognition. That hands-on training built a standard of craft that goes well beyond what formal education alone can offer. You get the benefit of that accumulated expertise in every piece of work that leaves the studio.
Breakdown artistry — the craft of ageing, distressing, and transforming costumes — has no direct equivalent in Croatian. Gabrijela is the only practitioner offering this specialism locally, making her the go-to contact for productions that need authentic, high-quality results without sending the work abroad.
